HOLIDAY BOOKING CONDITIONS & INFORMATION

1.
a) Touchdown is a trading name of Travelbrands Ltd, and is a ABTA and ATOL Holder.
b) The Flight Inclusive package arrangements we sell are ATOL Protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 6743. ATOL protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. c) We are a Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA's assistance and Code of Conduct. Our ABTA number is L8431.
d) Many of the other travel arrangements that we sell are protected in case of the financial failure of the travel company. All the package and Flight-Plus holidays we sell are covered by a scheme protecting your money if the supplier fails. Other services such as hotels or flights on their own may not be protected and you should ask us what protection is available

2. A contract is not deemed to be in effect until Touchdown, have taken a payment and provided confirmation in writing to the client.

3. All details are correct at time of going to press. Touchdown reserve the right to make any alterations/price deviations as a result of any change that may occur before departure. The client will be advised as soon as possible and may accept the changes or withdraw from the contract without financial penalty (except where condition 4 is valid).

4. Should airport/hotel/security/fuel charges/taxes fluctuate, beyond our control, they will be passed on to the client accordingly.

5. Touchdown reserve the right to cancel holiday arrangements before departure. In this instance the client is entitled to a substitute holiday of equivalent/superior quality, or a package of lower quality with refund of the difference payable, or a full refund of all monies paid. Compensation may also be payable unless circumstances are/were beyond our control.

6. Should the client experience or complain of any difficulty by failure of any part of the service, (even in circumstances beyond our control) Touchdown will give prompt assistance to the client in difficulty. The client must communicate at the earliest opportunity, in writing or similar form to Touchdown (and the supplier of the service concerned) to enable Touchdown to assist. No compensation can be considered after the event if Touchdown is not given this opportunity to rectify the situation.

7. If prevented from proceeding with the holiday the client may transfer the booking to another person who satisfies the conditions applicable to that holiday but will absorb all costs involved.

8. There will be no responsibility/compensation other than that of the airline/ground operator for delays to outward or inward travel. The special flight prices offered are of a concessionary nature and offered on a confirmed seat basis unless otherwise stated. No compensation, however, is available in relation to overbooking issues, delayed flights and missed connections. Refunds or revised airline ticket values are limited to the price paid for the original ticket.

9. None of the packages offered require a minimum number of passengers per booking. All packages include meals as stated.

10. When flights are included eligibility and other conditions are in accordance with the relevant airline. Please ensure you are aware of these before making a reservation. The flights and accommodation are provided at discounted rates only available to eligible travel industry employees. Any client found to be ineligible having previously claimed otherwise will be liable to pay all excess costs on return.

11. CANCELLATION POLICY AND CANCELLATION WAIVER
CANCELLATION OF FLIGHTS:
Cancellation waiver is not applicable as tickets are issued on receipt of payment and are non-refundable.

CANCELLATION OF HOTELS:
Please check at time of booking as this may vary for each property and is governed by the resort supplier (restrictions may apply).

THE CANCELLATION WAIVER IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR THE BENEFIT OF STANDBY ID STAFF TRAVEL
The Cancellation Waiver is not valid once your holiday has commenced.
Please note that certain products cannot be covered under the Waiver policy.
The Cancellation Waiver (which must be paid for at the time of booking and cannot be added after payment has been authorised), ensures a full refund (less premium) should the client cancel their hotel booking.
The Cancellation Waiver can only be invoked within 7 days of travel including departure day and is only applicable for clients travelling on a standby basis. 
Clients must inform Touchdown during office hours or contact the hotel directly out of hours to ensure a refund.     
For reservations made on the online booking system, within 7 days clients can amend their hotel booking to another date within 1 year of travel but will not receive a full refund.

CANCELLATION OF CRUISES: Any cruise cancellations will be governed by the cruise lines' own cancellation policy.

CANCELLATION CHARGES without the Cancellation Waiver Policy:
HOTELS:
Up to 14 days prior to departure: £75 per person + hotel cancellation charges incurred.
Within 14 days prior to departure: Full cost of the holiday
 
12. NOTE: A booking, with or without the Cancellation Waiver, is not deemed cancelled until Touchdown has received the cancellation in writing. Once received, the relevant refund, if applicable, will be paid to the client.

13. CRUISE:
Deposit & Cancellations subject to Cruise Suppliers T&C's
Full balance is due 16 weeks prior to departure for world cruises, world cruise sectors, Princess, P&O Cruises and Cunard.  For all other cruise bookings the full balance will be due 10 weeks prior to departure. 
Cruise Fuel Surcharges are not included and will be added at the time of booking.
Deposit & Cancellations subject to Cruise Suppliers T&C's. Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines, Cunard, Princes Cruises, P&O Cruises, World Cruise and World Cruise Sectors your balance will be due
16 weeks prior to departure. For any NCL booking made with AE Grade and above your balance will also be due 16 weeks prior to departure. A non refundable service fee of £79 per cabin is additional and will be added to final invoice cost. Cruise Fuel Surcharges and Taxes are not included for every cruise and will therefore be added at the time of booking.

14. AMENDMENTS: Should the client amend their reservation after Touchdown has received their booking, an amendment fee of £10 per person is payable. The amendment must also be in writing.

15. PAYMENTS & CHARGES:
• Credit card charges: 2% or £2 min.
• AMEX charges: 3% or £2 min.
• Debit cards: No charge.
• Cheques: No charge.  Please make cheques payable to Travelbrands Ltd and send to Gatwick House, Suite 9, Peeks Brook Lane, Horley, Surrey RH6 9ST. 
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you attach a letter to your cheque payment with your booking reference details.
• Bank transfers/deposits: No charge.  If you would like to pay by a bank deposit, please contact us for the account details

16. IMPORTANT: Flight bookings - You will be sent a confirmation/invoice of the flights we are holding and the names that these flights are held in. Any discrepancies MUST be advised to Touchdown prior to ticket issue. Please note Touchdown will not be held responsible for any costs incurred for changes required to tickets after issue.

17. Touchdown will not be liable whatsoever for any loss/damage/personal health/eventualities of war/civil action/act of terrorism/act of God, natural disasters or adverse weather conditions during or resulting from your holiday. WE THEREFORE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE OUT ADEQUATE HOLIDAY INSURANCE - www.touchdowntravelinsureance.com

18. IMPORTANT: Passport, Visas and Health:
Passports are mandatory for overseas travel. All clients should also ensure that their passport is valid for the minimum length of time required by the particular country being visited. In many cases, this is six months from the date of entry to the country, irrespective of the booked return date.
Visa/s may be required for your travel arrangements. It is your responsibility to check the entry/exit requirements for your chosen destination/s. Please check with the appropriate embassy/consulate prior to your travel.

Please consult your medical practitioner or chemist to check health requirements for your destination. Please ensure that all paperwork including passports, visas and vaccination certificates are arranged prior to travel, and that they are taken with you on your holiday. Touchdown will not be responsible if you are prevented from travelling due to the absence of the correct travel documentation, and no refunds will be issued. 19. We may, at time to time, use the contact information you have provided us with to send you information on Touchdown offers and surveys available to you.

20. Flight only bookings are subject to a per person booking fee of £15pp for short haul and £19pp for long haul flights. Cruise bookings are subject to a £79 per cabin booking fee.
