Our Junior Product Manager Brittany was fortunate enough to attend an educational hosted by Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels, here's what she had to say: ' I got an amazing opportunity to visit Mauritius with Beachcomber and all I can say is WOW. Mauritius is beautiful, not just the country but the people as well, this island has so much to offer. I am planning to take my family back in the future. Upon visiting and even staying at some of the Beachcomber properties it opened my eyes on what the hotels have to offer and the difference between them all.

Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa
This was the first hotel we stayed at. As the hotel is situated in a Bay the beaches were incredible, there are 3 beaches in total. The unique selling point of this Beachcomber hotel is that it is a 15 minute drive from the airport. I stayed in a Superior Room which had a different layout to the rest of the Beachcomber hotels. It was over two levels with little steps between the bathroom and the main area. The hotel has a variety of amazing water activities on offer, including a glass bottom boat trip (which is included on all inclusive). This hotel is currently closed for renovations and will re-open on 16th October.

Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa
Out of the hotels, Mauricia stood apart in that the rooms and layout were different.There is an underground nightclub, which is very unique and provides a separation from clients who like to party and clients who like to relax. Being underground means they can control the noise level so it doesn't disturb the other clients staying at the resort. Another factor which contributes to this is the soundproof doors on all of the rooms. This hotel has 2 restaurants, however, if clients are on all inclusive they can use their benefits at Victoria, Cannonier and Shandrani which provides more dining options.

Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
This hotel really gave the family vibes when walking around, we were informed during this walk that they have live entertainment in the evenings which is held in their outside theatre. We had lunch at the Navigator which is their seafood restaurant. Our main dish was just wow, it was amazing and I could easily eat there everyday! The portion sizing was also generous I almost didn't eat my dessert! At the time of the visit which was mid May the hotel was at 85% capacity and even though you could see a lot of people in and around the pool area it still felt like there weren't a lot of people there. A unique aspect of this hotel is that they have a Spa inside of a Tree! A Banyan Tree which gives it that magical feel as you are walking up the stairs to the treatment rooms. Amongst all the activities offered at this hotel they have a mini golf course for everyone to enjoy. This golf course is a replica of the last 9 holes of Mont Choisy Le Golf which is another unique aspect.

Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa
The welcome at this hotel is different, the lobby is very open and provides a very warm welcome. Victoria for 2 is a unique concept and has a separate area for adults while still being a family friendly hotel. This is where we spent our evening starting with drinks round the firepit on the beach in front of the swim up pool, followed by dinner in the Morris Beef adults only restaurant. We did have a few fussy eaters, but this was not a problem for the staff and alternatives were provided, without causing any problems. The Staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't have done enough. The evening we had at Victoria was set up similar to Paradis, with a dance floor and DJ. We stayed in a newly renovated Superior Room on the first floor which was vibrant and very spacious. On the beaches there was always a sun lounger even in the late afternoon.

Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
I didn't know what to expect at this hotel, but I wasn't expecting it to be so big. Similar to Paradis and Dinarobin you can get a buggy from your room to anywhere you would like in resort. What I loved about the hotel being big was you could walk round while taking in the scenery and enjoying the greenery. Also being a large resort means they have a long stretch of beach having the most amazing views! While walking round the resort I noticed the pools in each crescent. These are more intimate and for clients who would not like to use the main pool. Although the main pool is huge and again has amazing beach views. The rooms were also absolutely beautiful. We were shown around the 3 Bedroom Pool Villa which really was the gift that kept on giving. The Spa was very nice and encourages clients to enjoy nature. Their treatment rooms are outside still providing privacy but including the elements of nature.

Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
I stayed at Paradis for 2 nights in a Junior Suite and this was my favourite room of all that I stayed in. My room was first floor which lead onto a huge private balcony overlooking the garden with the sea in the background. They had the wardrobe in the bathroom which I loved as you could hide your suitcase and any mess away. We didn’t' stay at Dinarobin however, as it is on the same stretch of peninsula we visited this hotel a lot during our stay. It is very easy to find our way around the hotels and there is a buggy that runs from one end of the resort to the other, every 15 minutes. This means you can combine the two hotels during your stay having a choice of 8 restaurants if you like variety!

Dinarobin and Paradis are individual unique resorts each with their own character meaning that all tastes are catered for, with Dinarobin even having bean bags on the beach. I had a full body massage at Dinarobin and it was divine, their Spa was Thai themed which included a Buddha theme room where Yoga classes are held and even Aerial Yoga! The Food was unreal too we had lunch at Zest during the day - it was amazing and so much food. One evening at Paradis was the most memorable out of the entire trip, the reason being is because they offer live entertainment in their bar area and it even had a Dance Floor! Everyone was up dancing having fun and laughing. We met a Mauritian family who were showing us some moves and it was lovely to see locals enjoying the resort as much as tourists. I didn't expect this at Paradis and has exceeded my expectations. Both Hotels have the best view with beaches and the Le Mourne mountain behind providing a picture perfect background.

Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury
This Hotel in one word is Luxury! I stayed here for our last night in the lead-in room type which is a Junior Suite. This was the biggest lead-in room out of all of the hotels I stayed at and had a lot to offer. The view from my balcony was unreal even though I was near the end of the resort. While being here I felt relaxed and it was so peaceful. Clients staying at this resort usually stay onsite and why would you not! A unique factor for this hotel is for their turn down service where you have an option to choose a pillow mist and they provide you with a beach bag to use during your stay. I happened to see the best sunset at this resort and it the one of the best ways to end the trip. The Spa here felt like it was the biggest out of the hotels and had so much to offer.'
