Coronavirus Update

Dear travel customer,

I hope that you and your families are keeping safe and well throughout these difficult times.

We wanted to update you as soon as possible following the latest announcement from the government of the second lockdown measure. With new restrictions of non-essential travel in place, some of our customers may now be concerned about what this means for your upcoming holiday, especially those trips scheduled to depart over the next few weeks.

The team here at Touchdown | Travel Industry Services are working their way through departures scheduled for the next four weeks and we will contact you directly to discuss alternate arrangements and what options are available to you.

We also want to reassure you the money you have paid to Touchdown | Travel Industry Services is 100% protected and we will work with you to find the best solution – whether that's to amend your date or destination, issuing a future cruise credit or a giving you a full refund.

Myself and all my colleagues would like to give a huge thank you to all of you for your continued support, solidarity and patience over this last year, and also for your loyalty and trust in coming back to us to book your holidays. With your unwavering support and our great team, we are still managing to navigate through this difficult time for our much loved travel industry, and we remain committed to providing our service to all our industry colleagues. We have also been adapting to the continued restrictions and ensuring we continue, where possible to provide our customers with the holidays that are so important to them.

Whilst there has been a pause in our travels due to global restrictions, recently we have started to see glimpses of hope on the horizon with many countries gradually starting to ease these restrictions which in turn gives us hope that holidays abroad will start to resume in the near future. We are updating our website regularly with travel information, latest offers and our Product Managers are liaising with our suppliers to obtain the best possible deals for you and your families and friends. I also want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to provide holidays that are both safe and enjoyable.

The industry is still cautiously venturing back into this different way of travel and is having to make changes to the way it operates. Our partners in the Cruise industry are all working with top level government bodies including the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC and Public Health England as well as other medical professionals to ensure best practice and maintain their priority which is to keep guests and crews safe. Protocols are being introduced on board and at ports which will make your holidays safe as well as enjoyable. Our hotel suppliers are working with global international health and safety organisations such as Cristal International Standards to ensure that stringent health and safety protocols are part of their everyday operations. The airlines have also introduced new protocols at the airports and on their aircrafts to make them safe for travel. These new future travel health and safety procedures can be found on our website here and are updated regularly.

Finally, whist we are still recovering and dealing with the effects of this pandemic I still firmly believe that holidays will re-commence and they will be the enjoyable experience you have come to know and expect.
