Updated 06 August 2020 - Please note that this information is updated regularly and adapts as the situation evolves.
Royal Caribbean have cancelled all sailings until 01 November 2020, (excluding Australia sailings). Additionally, the remainder of the 2020 Europe season and the autumn Transatlantic sailings have also been cancelled, along with an additional pause on their China itineraries through 13 September 2020.
As a result of this change, guests will be provided with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to re-book a new cruise by 31 December 2021 for sailings departing on or before 30 April 2022.
• This amount will be based on guests total cruise fare paid, with a little extra, knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
• Royal Caribbean will automatically send guests their Future Cruise Credit by 14 September 2020 via email.
Or, if you prefer a full refund, which is a lower value of the offer above, Royal Caribbean will be happy to process this for you. Guests have the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until the end of this year - 31 December 2020 - to request a refund and deactivate your certificate.
For bookings made on or before 30 September 2020, guests can now benefit from; • Future Cruise Credit (FCC) Guests have up to 48 hours before they sail to cancel and receive 100% Future Cruise Credit to use toward any sailing through to 30 April 2022.
FCC’s are sufficient to hold a reservation until final payment as long as the FCC covers the full deposit amount due. Therefore no out of pocket funds are needed until taxes or fees and/or cruise fare balance are due at final payment time.
Alaska | Canada & New England Sailings To compensate this cancellation, below are compensation options for Alaska and Canada/New England sailings between 01 August and 31 October 2020, for guests who have not previously cancelled under our “Cruise With Confidence” policy.
All booked guests will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) valid until 31 December 2021, for use on sailings through 30 April 2022. The value of the FCC will be calculated based on the amount paid for the cruise and will be processed via email.
Should you prefer the lower value option of a refund, Royal Caribbean will be happy to process this for you anytime up until 31 December 2020.
Please note the "Lift & Shift" and "Best Price Guarantee" programmes are not applicable to reservations made on the interline promotion.
Additionally, any person with a severe, chronic medical condition, including those specified by the CDC – i.e. chronic heart, lung, liver, or kidney disease, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, or cancer – will be unable to sail.
If you are unable to provide a "fit to travel" letter from your physician or have a compromising medical condition, you'll be provided with a Future Cruise Credit to come back and sail with us at a later time.
With COVID-19 adding uncertainty to travel plans around the world, Royal Caribbean International said it will give guests greater control over their holiday decisions, allowing guests to cancel cruises as late as two days before departure.
