Travel industry staff can now book great discounted flights with Touchdown on one of Europe's best low cost airlines, Norwegian Air.
Our Sales Manager, Kevin Doyle recently took a flight from New York (JFK) to London Gatwick (LGW) on Norwegian Air, an airline he’d never flown before. We asked him all about his JFK-LGW premium economy flight experience, below is what he has to say...
What’s the lowdown on your overall experience?
I was greeted at JFK by a friendly agent and check-in was easy breezy. The flight was 6 hours 30 mins from JFK to LGW. I was excited to get on board the aircraft as this was my first time on a Dreamliner. The premium cabin with Norwegian only has 32 seats so you get a good personal feel from the cabin and crew. All of the seats in the cabin recline so you can have a good stretch. They also have mood lighting in the cabin to help you sleep.
How was the in-flight entertainment?
There was a good number of movie options, from old classics to the latest. There was also a good choice of TV and music, so I had plenty to help pass the time.
What about the food and drinks?
There was various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer, and also hot drinks like tea, coffee and hot chocolate to choose from. There were 3 options for dinner. I had the beef option, but there was also a chicken option and a vegetarian option. It was tasty and substantial!
Other notable amenities
Every seat had a USB charging point, and there was also free WIFI. This was a big plus in my eyes because I could use social media and watch Netflix. When you’re on a long flight, these are some of the things that make all the difference.
I was very impressed with the whole experience with Norwegian. The flight was on time, pleasant and relaxing. Plus, the crew were friendly. I would definitely fly with them again, as well as recommend them to our customers.
